Director: Steven Soderbergh

Key Cast: Gweneth Paltrow, Matt Damon, Laurence Fishburne, Kate Winslet, and Jude Law.

Run Time: 106 minutes.

Summary: A thriller centered on the threat posed by a deadly disease and an international team of doctors contracted by the CDC to deal with the outbreak.

Date Watched: January 2nd, 2012

Likes: What I liked the most about this movie is how realistic is seems. The storyline isn't hyperbolized for movie purposes and the disease outbreak and how it is handled seems like something that could happen here in the real world. I enjoyed the characters, the acting, and the ending is quite nice and explains what you might not have understood in the beginning.

Dislikes: A bit slow in the middle and a bit rushed near the end.

Run Time: 119 minutes.

Summary: A spaceship arrives in Arizona, 1873, to take over the Earth, starting with the Wild West region. A posse of cowboys and natives are all that stand in their way.

Date Watched: January 6th, 2012

Likes: Daniel Craig and, well, Daniel Craig. This movie isn't normally the kind of movie I like, but it kept me entertained. I can't really explain this movie other than it was a pretty nice watch.

Dislikes: Daniel Craig is fully clothed throughout the entire movie.

Fright Night (2011)

Director: Craig Gillespie

Key Cast: Anton Yelchin, Colin Farrell, Toni Collette, David Tennant, and Imogen Poots.

Run Time: 106 minutes.

Summary: A teenager suspects that his new neighbor is a vampire and has to figure out a way to stop him from killing everyone.

Date Watched: January 7th, 2012

Likes: Simple, but not boring simple. It's not an incredibly serious horror/thriller movie, but there are a few parts that might make you jump.

Dislikes: Ever since "Superbad", it's been hard for me to take Christopher Mintz-Plasse seriously, so he playing the character that he does was just not convincing. The ending was predictable, but then again, most endings like this are.
