This is the tribute NBC cut from the Olympics broadcast

“Because it wasn’t tailored for a US audience.”

Congratulations on being douche canoe NBC.

Akram Khan’s piece was stunning, powerful, beautiful, he’s one of my favorite choreographers and also very well loved in England, it’s was both a wonderful tribute and iconic piece by a fantastic British artist.

This sends a message that the world should always care massively for US’s tragedies of any scale, but that no fuck are given abour OUR tragedies. It’s not the first time it happens, get your shit together US Medias, you’re not the center of the world.

What the fuck are they talking about? No part of the ceremony was tailored to ‘an American audience’. Danny Boyle wasn’t sitting there thinking ‘how can we attract the American demographic here?!’ Do ya know why? Because contrary to common American belief the entire world doesn’t actually revolve around the USA. There’s actually quite a lot of achievement and creativity and culture elsewhere. There are other countries that suffer tragedies and have victims and mourning families and regardless of where they come from and what demographic it appeals to those people deserve to be remembered and respected. So I do apologise if a tribute to the VICTIMS OF THE BOMBINGS THAT DEVASTATED ENTIRE FAMILIES wasn’t ‘TAILORED’ to your tastes, you absolute fucking vile douchebags. I am genuinely struggling to comprehend how vicious this is. NBC are actually saying that they ignored and deleted a tribute to the dead just in case Americans didn’t get it. These are people at the forefront of news and media and their mental processes work like this? Wow. Just… wow. Good luck, sane and rational Americans. You do not have many on your side.
