i’ve only just realised how weird it is that they’re called him. him. it’s not your obvious band name. and i know it’s his infernal majesty but no one goes around pronouncing AFI ‘affee’ or ‘affeye’. we say ‘aye eff eye’. but no one says ‘ach eye em’, we say him. him. how does that come up in conversation? for all the years i was obsessed with him i never once remember going up to someone and saying ‘hey, have you heard of him?’ because then they’d be all ‘who?’ and i need to stop thinking about this.
