This time (for this is the second time I’ll be moving into ‘my own place’, I really didn’t take student accommodation seriously for my first year) I’m going to genuinely invest in my kitchen goods. Everything from sieves to jugs to knife blocks to spice racks, I want my property and my possessions to reflect me, to be more than a purchase, to be a part of my life, an expression of what I want my home to be.
Yellowy-cream, baby blue and femme fatale red working together in gorgeous harmony.
My cabinets are sort of a creamy-yellowy colour. I have no idea what would work with that, I hate yellow and any combination involving yellow. I’m considering just ignoring it and going for a lipstick red/baby blue theme, or maybe going through with my threatened plan and making everything violently pink, a la Dita. Either way, I’d give a kidney for red vinyl retro seating.
I just viewed the apartment I’m going to rent with my boyfriend and one of my best friends today! So this is now an interior design blog. I’m thinking shabby retro country farm house meets diner tea party chic? It makes sense in my head.
