Crazy-lady hair, no make-up, SWISS PRIDE. I’d be happy if either of them won (because Murray plays good tournament tennis but can’t seem to cinch the Grand Slams, and that’s a shame) but Federer’s a better player. He’s the epitome of sophistication and grace, as well as being a cracking all rounder. But beyond that, he’s the physical embodiment of sportsmanship. I’m bloody sick of this ‘but he’s British!’ attitude. There’s no sense of British unity for 50 weeks out of the year, yet Wimbledon comes around and we leap on him like a gaggle of vultures. We don’t support a film or a band or a book because of where it’s from (E L James went to my county’s university - that’s all that needs to be said), we support quality. And Federer’s just better to watch. And Murray’s a miserable fucking sod who keeps reaching for his bastard hamstring.

Whoever wins, I think it’d be wonderful for them to grab the Olympic gold. What an amazing opportunity to win at Wimbledon twice in one summer.
